June 2007

Today went out early and headed over to Vashon with Paul. We worked at Lynn’s all day. Got loads done. Today will mark our last Saturday working on the island for a while.
Went to “Guaymas” for dinner.

And “Whole Foods” for dessert.

Yet again I sit and wait to see where the evening will take me.

Today Paul and I started in Lakeview. Got that finished. Then up to the Old Country Buffet for lunch.
Off down to 95th and Sandpoint to finish out the day installing doors and blinds.
Now I sit and wait to see where the evening takes me.

9:31pm

Ok went to Arayas for dinner. Met Janet from down the road there with her friend Alice. A quick chat and off they go.
Went up to The Crest to see the movie “Hot Fuzz”
hotfuzz_posterbig.jpg

The only good thing about this movie was that The Crest only charges $3.00 to get in.
Other than that it was just a pile of fucking English shite.

Today I started my day over in the Madrona area. Worked on a beautiful house just up the street from where Kurt Cobain took his last breath before the shotgun. It got too wet to finish the job so headed over to the Lakeview Condo job. Got a call from Jim in the meantime. We had to go and temp a building where a fellow ran into it with his car while he was been chased by the police. When we got there the police were everywhere. Temped it up and headed to Home Depot stopping off to have a chat with Jim. The ole review went well and I do work for a truly great company.

Went to the Sunlight Cafe for dinner and Whole Foods for dessert

Come as you are, as you were,
As I want you to be
As a friend, as a friend, as an old enemy
Take your time, hurry up
The choice is yours, don’t be late
Take a rest as a friend as an old memoria
Come dowsed in mud, soaked in bleach
As I want you to be
As a trend, as a friend, as an old memoria
And I swear that I don’t have a gun
No I don’t have a gun

8:43pm
Just got done watching the movie “The Dead Girl” on DVD
thedeadgirl_posterbig.jpg

It was ok enough.

Back to the Harmon. Removed brick. Ran up to Lakeview and gave Paul & Mike a hand. We went to lunch at Taco Bell.  Back to work. Reinstalled the brick which I had removed earlier. Shopped for the weekend. Got done late.

Went to Oaktree to see “Live Free or Die Hard”

livefreeordiehard_teaser2.jpg

Possibly the best of the Die Hards. I liked it.

Went to Qdoba for dinner.
untitled-4.jpg

Watched “A Guide To Recognizing Your Saints” on the DVD.
aguidetorecognizingyoursaints_bigpo.jpg

Not so good. Boring in fact.

Today I started an investigation in a building named The Harmon down near Eastlake. Worked with Marty from J2. Had a good day.
Went to the “Yesi Cafe” for an Ethiopian dinner. Talked with the owner for a bit. He had good humor.

Off to the last step of Beacon Condos today. Removed the pump jacks. Re installed coping metal. Had a great chat with Julie on the second floor. She was in a good mood despite having a wounded heart. I like her and hope she leaps into the sky soon. Then chatted to Gertrude on the first floor. She is writing music at the moment and will record with her friend Sarah in the future. Sarah shows up and is full of life. She is great. She gave me her web site. http://www.sarahrudinoff.com/ . Then met Jamie from San Francisco on the second floor. She just moved here on Monday last with her good woman Julie. We had a great chat and continued on with the day in hand. We had talked our way through lunch so didn’t get to eat. No Harm.
Went to “La Isla” http://www.laislaseattle.com/ for dinner under the recommendation from a friend. Had a pile of food and headed off to QFC for some provisions on the way home. Bumped into my friend Shay there. I hadn’t seen her in years. We spent a good bit of time together around 1994 and 1995. We chatted there in the store for over 90 minutes. Then I had to head for the castle. Once in the Castle Carmen came in for the visit. On goes the tea and cookies. Angel food cake and strawberries to follow.

Went down town around 10:15 to watch the Seattle Pride Parade.
http://www.seattlepride.org/  We positioned ourselves just North of Steward St. on 4th Ave on two fold out chairs that we brought with us.
GayPrideSeattle2007281.jpg

A quick muffin and chocolate from Juan Valdez and we were ready.

The God squad were out to save souls with loud speakers, signs and leaflets. They were all around this corner where we sat. I think they brought a bit of negativity to the area but this is America and they can speak all they want.

My mind was wandering off and thinking the battle field of Armageddon was been staged right here in front of me.

I noticed a lot of police around the place ready to do a fine job if needed. I can’t wait for the marching armies to parade into the battle field.

Here is some of the parade.

Stopped in to Cyber Dogs http://www.cyber-dogs.com/ for a snack before we went home.
Had the Doggi Lama. It was good. Talked to a nice couple of fellows there. Precious stone dealers they were. World travelers to boot.

Back home and have a wee look at the handouts.
GayPrideSeattle2007294.jpg

Relax a bit and then head out to the Sunlight Cafe for dinner.
