August 2014

Woke up early and relaxed the morning away.

I went out for a 15 mile run then. I met  Bridget P along the way and she gave me Watermelon Gu to take me home.

It was a grand run and I am as ready as can be for the marathon next week.

Home

We all headed downtown to do some shopping with Magali. We went to the Seattle Shirt Company on the waterfront. We headed down to the Stadium District for lunch at Subway. Then over to the Team stores to get stuff for Tony. Magali was so undecided about what to buy. I told her I was going out to the car to wait with Natasha. I frigging hated shopping and the way she shops.

Natasha and I chatted the time away.

Then up to the original Starbucks to buy some vintage mugs. The line to get in was huge.

I was miserable having to walk around shopping at the other stores we went into. I kept putting the pressure on her to hurry up. We finally got out of there and headed for Northgate.

Target, Best Buy and Sport Authority and we were done.

Headed home and I cooked dinner and the dessert.

Went to bed late

Woke up early

Headed out for a run about an hour later. I ran up to and over 175th back down 5th to Northgate and home for a 8 plus mile run.

Home Shower and breakfast.

Talked with Magali until Natasha came home. We loaded up the car and headed for Canada. Crossing the border was slow enough. We drove into and through Stanley Park.

Stopped off at the Totem Poles.

We walked around here and across the road for a while. Then headed off down towards the Brockton Lighthouse.

on to the celtic cross

looked up at the Lions Gate Bridge

Came out of the park and headed over to the Inukshuk at English Bay.

I had to build my own one to leave my mark.

We headed over to Gas Town for the lunch. Into the Old Spaghetti Factory we go. We are served by a lovely girl named Chloe. A singer who moved to Vancouver. She was nice. Ate to our hearts content and then went on with our way.

Magali went to buy loads of souvenirs at the stores. We tagged along and acted the mad hatters we really are.

We head off when we were done. We stop off at the French Bakery called Faubourg on Hornby Street. We get our first French Macaroons in here. Nice and melt in the mouth.

We head back south again for the border. Crossing back there wasn’t a wait at all. We drove in the traffic on and off. We came across care free and it took us only a short time to get back towards Seattle. But then traffic was slow. We got home at an okay time.

I made the dinner and dessert for the gang.

Bed

ZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

We talked and talked and talked and talked from 10 pm last evening until 2 am this morning about us staying together. It seems like we are going to stay together for a while longer at least.

Woke up 5 hours later and got the day started.

Got to work for 6 at the vault. Chuck showed up soon after. Worked on sanding it until Mark from the product company came out and we talked. Now we will pressure wash the vault again and then we are ready to coat. We cleaned the loose edges and the like. Then patched the areas that needed patching. Finished out the day well and headed home.

I stopped at Safeway for some provisions. Then at home I made the dinner and dessert for Natasha and myself. We continued talking about our staying together as a couple. Magali came home and that ended that. I made Magali her dinner.

We went to bed and lights out ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

Woke up early of course.

Lazed away the morning. Headed back to Kent for the day of labor. Did a lot of shopping all day really. Had a safety meeting with Clarence present. We worked out a confined space area,

Headed for the shop. Picked up extension cords there. Then headed over to Home Depot to return some items. Then headed down to ACME to buy grinder wheels.

Picked Magali up down town and we went for a drive around the city. Headed for home. Had a few M&M’s. Showered and got ready to go downtown.

We went to Queen Anne and parked. We went into the Teatro Zinzanni for dinner and a show. It is our 19th anniversary so a good day to go as well. In we go. The usual waiting and then being seated. Tonights show was a good one. Not great but good. The food was nice, our table guests were okay. The night went fast. We got out of there late of course.

Headed down to Health Point in Kent for the day of labor. Today we worked underground in the vault. Worked on me back on a roll around trolley for some of the day. Bent down low for more of it and a bit of crouched standing. Got everything pressure washed and I was soaked to the bone and covered in mud.

Took the Sprinter back to the shop. Then headed for home. Traffic was a bastard all day today. It was nearly a three hour drive from Kent to home.

Natasha and Magali were at the zoo so I went for a 6 mile run.

Home

Then headed over to Flying Squirrel Pizza for dinner. We ate and chatted there for a while.

Home again. Everyone was tired and headed off to bed earlier than normal.

ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

Woke up early and got the day going.

Headed over to Bainbridge Island for the last day on the job.  We worked on the waterproofing where we could.  The pavers were in our way. Elder will go back tomorrow to finish. We loaded up the extra material into my truck and we took it back to the shop.

Headed up to meet Magali. We met at the wheel and then headed down to the Old Curiosity Shoppe for a look around.

On the way back Magali ate her first hot dog ever. It was at the Frankfurter on the water front and it was a Thai chicken one. We sat there and chatted for a long time. We then hopped into the truck and headed for home.

We stopped into QFC for a few provisions. Headed home.

Natasha cooked a great pesto pasta for dinner. Salad also. I made the strawberry shortcake dessert.
