February 2015

Woke up early of course.
Worked on getting me journal up to speed. Ate the breakfast and headed over to Julie’s. We went for an 8 mile run together. Had a great chat about all aspects of life.

I head home after and have a snack to eat. Did odds and ends to pass away time. Talked with Mary back home for a while also. She was in great form.

Headed up to Cinebarre to see a movie and have dinner with Natasha. We watched “The Kingsman-The Secret Service”

It was a good film and the dinner was good also.

Home and had a snack.

Watched a movie then while eating dessert. “Trip To Italy”

This movie was good also.

Now I will look for a place to travel to before I sleep.

Woke up tired, late and fecked.
I worked at home with the Met Files today. Had a long chat with me pal Jenny.

Natasha came home later on and we ate dinner. Finished “The Son’s Of Liberty”

Fecking great show.

I didn’t get my run in today so now I am a day behind.

Went to bed late.

Woke up after a few hours rest.

Headed on down to the office. Picked up some tools and headed off to Met Market in Tacoma.

Chuck showed up soon after and we went to work. Found all the areas we would like to be repaired or newly fixed.

Headed off for the office stopping off in Federal Way for a quick stop with the ML included.

At the office I worked on the report until late into the day.

Stopped off at Greenlake for my 4 mile run. Better time that I had being doing in Thailand.

Home and Natasha showed up soon after. We headed up to Enat for dinner.

Home and ate dessert. Started into watching Sons Of Liberty.

Even though I was nodding off it seemed good.

Now I rest.

We passed into the new day a waiting. Then half an hour into it we started to get the call to board. Thirty minutes after that we took off into the sky on the Airbus 330-300 operated by Korean air.

We had a couple glasses of orange juice along the way. I watched “Hector And The Search Of Happiness”
It was okay enough. A life questioning movie really.

Then I listened to the poems of Robert Burns on the Audio Book. Robbie a farmers son who was lionized by the literary society of his time, but neglected by them when he died at the ripe old age of 37.

I played more poker along with slots and did win millions and millions. Ate a healthy breakfast that didn’t taste so great but it did not have any meat, fish, dairy, lard or root vegetables in it. Landed in Seoul Korea with the temperatures at 0 degrees Celsius.

We went through the security and customs. Went to Starbucks for a cup of tea. Then over to the Tour Transit Dusk to see if we could do a tour. We met a fellow from California at the desk looking to do a tour also, Henry from California. He was a grand fellow full of stories and the want to see stuff. He was on his way back from the Philippines after seeing his new woman there. Anyway we went off to see the Yonggungsa Temple. Kim was our tour guide.

We walked around taking photos of the temples and old trees on the property. Then we had to get back on the bus and head back to the airport.

Met a nice girl from Indonesia on the tour. We got back to the airport and dropped off Henry. Then we headed off on another tour.

We drove over the longest bridge in Korea. The Incheon Bridge, it is over 21 KM long. Then we arrived at the Heungryunsa Temple and got to walk up the 108 steps to the top. Took photos around there. It was well worth the visit. Bob was our tour guide now, he was a bit slow on the English pronunciations but did alright. The Indonesian girl’s name if Fatismo and she is heading through Seattle going to Alaska for a teachers conference. She is coming back through Seattle next week and we may meet up.

We rode the bus back to the airport after being out and about for the few hours.

Went up to the Italian restaurant for lunch. It was a good bowl of spaghetti. After an hour we walked around the airport for the last bit of time left on this trip. Went over to our boarding gate and waited for the call.

Boarded the Boeing 777-200 operated by Korean Air and we took off. On board ate a dinner. Did the crosswords on the paper and in my book. Watched the movie “Fury”

It was okay. Better than I expected.

Continued on watching the news on the TV and the flight went by quickly. We landed in Seatac. Went through and got our bags.

Took a taxi to Matt’s. We said our goodbyes and talked about our next trip together.

Natasha and I head for home. We stop off and get the car gassed up. then over to QFC for provisions. Finally home. Eat a snack. Shower and I head down to the  office to meet with the Koster Company Reps. The meeting went great and I chatted with Mike and Mark from Koster for a while.

Then I head home and get to bed soon after.

Woke up after 5 hours. Put on the shoes and got my 3 mile run in. Once back at bungalow 6 I got my camera and headed to the beach to capture the last sunrise. It was so nice in real life. The nice French girl was there as well but I did head down the beach for a better photo.

Back to the bungalow and started in on packing. We met up with Matt and headed up to the restaurant for our last breakfast. Saw our French friends there again. Ate our food and headed back and relaxed at the bungalow until noon.

We walked out to meet up with the taxi. Got to say goodbye to everyone we passed. The massage girls were sad. Saw the Frenchies. Got to say goodbye to them.

My one in pink I would run off with and marry was looking great and our paths may never cross again. Well I wouldn’t really marry her.

We rode in Pay’s truck up to the Pier.

We had to wait an hour for the ferry.

Finally it arrived and we took off for Phuket stopping off at Ko Yao Yai to pick up a few passengers. It was nice to see our first island of stay again.

Arrived into the pier in Phuket. We then got a taxi ride up to the airport.

Went through the security and the Korean Desk wasn’t open. It won’t be open for another 7 hours or so. We went down to the first floor and put our bags in the Left Luggage Room for 85 baht a bag. Then we walked over to see if Pimm was doing lunch. She indeed was not but the fellow there recommended a place we could eat.

Ate the lunch.

Then we went off shopping. Got to buy the hammocks I was looking for.

We walked around some more and then headed on down to the Sirinath National Park.

We walked along the beach all the way up to the busy shopping area.

Watched the last sunset we are going to see in Thailand. It was nice.

We went out and did some more shopping. I got a jug of 100% coconut oil so I can give and receive massages with Natasha. Then we walked all the way back to the airport.

Had dinner in “Bill Bentley’s Pub”.

First half normal to us food to us we had in a long time it seemed. Got our bags out of storage and had a cup of tea at the tea shop. Had a few Ovaltine cookies with the tae.

Finally checked in and went through passport control. Went to our gate and waited for the boarding call. The time approached midnight as we waited.

Woke up 5 hours later. I headed on out for my run. It was fecking way warm again this day before 6am. No harm, I mustered on at a slow pace. Ran up and out past Market and pack to get a leisurely 8 mile run in

Back to 5 and washed the clothes as I showered. Hung them up to dry and gave myself the towel. We headed out to the restaurant for breakfast. Ate healthy enough. Then headed over to Dee Dee to pick up a moped. Natasha and I rode up to Market and bought some stuff at the 7-11 market.

Back home and relaxed for a wee bit. Then Matt and I headed out for our massage. I got a good one from the other girl there. We sat and drank the ginger tea with them after we were done. They also gave us water. They took many photos of us and friend requested us on Facebook.  We headed off after a gwall of time there.

Back to the bungalow and got ready for lunch. We headed out to the Pasai Cottages restaurant again. Ate a gwall of food and had grand chats. Went back to our bungalow for another porch rest and chat.

Went over across the road to the beach and went for what may be our last swim in all of Thailand on this trip. We swam for quite a while. Then lay on the beach for a rest. Went back over to our bungalows for the showers before dinner.

We moseyed on down the road looking for a place to have dinner. Tonight we decided to go into the “Baan Chang Restaurant”. Sat down and ate my 2nd favorite meal in our whole time in Thailand. Had a bit of fun there too. We headed back up to the restaurant at the beach side of the road for dessert. We ate a banana chocolate southern flatbread here.

Matt came into our bungalow to end the evening. A quick chat and he was gone. Got ready and hit the bed.

I just realized this is the first day I didn’t use my camera at all.

Woke up after 5 hours of sleep. Put on the running gear and headed out.

Today was my pace run. Ha, not much hope of that. I headed off through town and up to the town of Market where I went past it for a while and then turned around. I ran back the way I came and made it to our area in god time. Low and behold I met Natasha out for a brisk walk. I was delighted to see her and fed her some of my Nuun water. Then told her she should walk the other way and I would walk with her when I was done. I ran on to my turn around point and on the way met Natasha right around my finish point. It was an easier pace run than I had expected. Slow but okay 8 mile pace run.

I walked back out the road with my Natasha and then we turned around to head back towards our home at Pasai Beach.

I walked about a mile overall with her. Had a shower and washed the clothes once inside the bungalow 6. Then we headed up for breakfast

We went to the the restaurant at Pasai Cottages next door. We ate muesli with fruit and topped with yogurt. Then toast with pb&j washed down with a cup of tea. Walked back to get our stuff and we went over to Dee Dee and rented our motorbikes for the day.

We headed back up to the town of Market and did some shopping.

Well Natasha and Matt both did. I just looked around the village. Went to the 7-11 for drinks and headed off on a drive.

We drove out to the other pier.

Then up the coast road until it dead-ended.

Then we went for a hike up through the forest looking for the “Big Tree” We had to turn around before we got to it since the tide was in and we couldn’t hike around it. No harm, it was a great hike anyway.

No snakes this day. I was hoping to see a cobra one time.

We headed back on the bikes and I led the way through some dirt track of a road over streams and rocks. Eventually after riding over nothing like a road for some time we turned back. I held a good memory of the way we came along in my head so we made it back out easier than it could have been. This off road experience today was good. It would be better had we all had gas in our bikes. We were all well below “E”. We made it back to civilization again where we got gas. My bike wouldn’t start so we left it at the side of the road to cool down

Meanwhile I hopped onto Natasha’s bike with her and we went into Market to have a quick snack. Talked to a nice artist while we were in the village. He does great work.

Headed back out to find my abandoned bike some time later. IT stood on the side of the road like a untethered horse. It started with the first push of the button. Then we headed back around and into the pier where we first came back to this island.

Walked around here for some time. Then back on the bikes and up to our bungalow.

Matt and I headed up for our massage. The girl I  got was too gentle on me but I felt okay after it. More of a sensual rub as supposed to a medical one. Had some Ginger tea afterwards while we relaxed. Talked to the girls who worked in this strip of shops. The girl who owns the local shop selling goods is going to have twins in April. She will have an exam in two days for her education. She was well relaxed. We left the center leaving smiles on everyone’s faces we met.

Back and got Natasha. We drove up to “Rice Paddy” for our dinner again. Tonight we ate starters, main course and dessert. Loads of drinks to boot. Frank was in good form and we had a great old chat with him. We talked to a lovely Dutch Girl name Judith along with her 7 year old daughter Indira. Judith is great and has a great outlook on life.  She lives here 4 months a year and in the Netherlands the rest.  Natasha headed out before us. Frank gave us another plate of fruit before we took off. He is closed tomorrow but recommends another place or two to us. We leave there late.

We drive the bikes back and give the keys to Dee Dee. We talk to her for a while and learn a lot more about the island from her. On the walk back to our bungalow we meet and talk with two girls from South West France. They know our home town well. A grand chat followed.

Back to 6 we go. Matt comes in for a wee chat, then heads off across the way again.  Now I lay in bed hoping to sleep after having a can of cola with dinner.
